MANAGER ON DUTY


JOB SUMMARY

The Manager on Duty is responsible for the overall operation of the property during the shift to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency..


All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which demonstrates friendliness, initiative, professionalism, personal awareness and integrity while exercising confidentiality in the appropriate areas of their performance.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote positive guest relations by projecting a courteous, helpful attitude and assisting guests throughout their visit
  • Maintains visual presence on casino floor to support guests and employees
  • Maintain complete knowledge of Gaming rules and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Adhere to and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Handle all jackpot payments and player tracking
  • Accurately complete required slot payout paperwork, such as W-9's and W-2G's
  • Maintain slot machine knowledge including ability to troubleshoot repairs
  • Safeguard company assets located within the casino
  • Attention to detail including monitoring for safety and cleanliness of casino floor, bars, restaurants and back of house areas
  • Respond to customer and employee questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Manage staffing levels, break schedules, call ins and early outs on shift according to volume
  • Assist with planning and directing of staff scheduling, training and development
  • Regularly provide information to management regarding guest or employee incidents, reactions, comments, or problems that may arise and any safety/appearance concerns throughout the casino to ensure a quality and safe environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21
  • Casino experience required with knowledge of Casino games and operations
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English and listen attentively
  • Excellent people skills and ability to courteously and efficiently interact with employees, management and guests to ensure a positive experience
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels
  • Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
  • Ability to quickly and accurately calculate basic math including subtraction and addition
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to bend, stand, walk and exert well-paced mobility during entire shift
  • Ability to lift up 25lbs on a regular basis and up to 50lbs occasionally


LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

Must be able to obtain/maintain the following:

  • NV State Gaming Control Board License (employee cost = approximately $100 / renewed every 5 years)
  • CPR/AED certification
  • Alcohol Awareness Training Certification
