CASINO DROP/COUNT ROOM TEAM MEMBER

JOB SUMMARY

The Count Room team is responsible for currency counting, sorting, wrapping, transporting and recording as well as ensuring compliance with Gaming Control Board regulations.


The job is team oriented, highly regulated and under constant observation.


All employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which demonstrates friendliness, initiative, professionalism, personal awareness and integrity while exercising confidentiality in the appropriate areas of their performance.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote positive guest relations by projecting a courteous, helpful attitude.
  • Organize currency and paperwork 
  • Process currency and other information through currency counting machine
  • Verify fills, credits, markers, payments and cash drop totals in computer
  • Count, wrap and balance currency
  • Identify counterfeit bills
  • Regularly provides information to Supervisor/Manager regarding guest reactions, comments, or problems that may arise and any safety/appearance concerns throughout the casino to ensure a quality and safe environment
  • Show willingness and effort to work as a team
  • Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21
  • Excellent people skills and ability to courteously and efficiently interact with fellow employees, management and guests to ensure a positive experience
  • Must pay attention to detail including cleanliness and safety
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and listen attentively
  • Must follow verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge of 10 key operation and basic math skills
  • Attention to detail and tolerance for repetitive work
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand and stoop for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift 40-50lbs without restriction


CERTIFICATES/LICENSES

Must be able to obtain/maintain Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration (employee cost = approximately $120 / renewed every 5 years)
